Testimonials

"I have already been able to use quite a lot of what I learned in my own classes, so I am really happy I took the course. And I already miss spending time in London!" - Joni De Mol, Belgium.

"I liked how the course was structured. We learned a lot about British Culture in real life. Our tutors were really nice and answered all our questions. Everything on the course was perfect." - Anna Kowalczyk, Poland.

About London

Language Link is located at 6 Duke’s Road, in the heart of Bloomsbury central London, built by 19th century master builder, Thomas Cubitt. The area is famous for its literary connections, Charles Dickens, W.B. Yeats and the “Bloomsbury Group” also Bloomsbury Publishers, the original publishers of Harry Potter. In the vicinity of the school you can find University of London and its colleges UCL, SOAS, the Institute of Education, the British Library and the British museum.

Bloomsbury is also noted for its garden squares laid out in the 17th and 18th century. The area is ideal for a walk through the history and culture of London. Dickens used many of the street names in his books and his museum is a few streets away.

With bay windows shop front, gilt-named businesses and swinging signage, the area retains much of the atmosphere of old London. The school is situated across the road from one of London’s best known schools of contemporary dance, “The Place”, which provides our students with large cafeteria facilities at very reasonable prices.

Accommodation

Homestay

This is our most popular accommodation type and one we strongly recommend to students visiting. Staying with an English speaking family is not only a unique opportunity to help with your English studies but also a chance to learn about genuine British culture from British families. Staying with a family is also generally more economical than buying and cooking for yourself (certainly more than eating at restaurants). As such many students look to make the most of this. Our family stays are divided into 3 main categories based on their distance to central London, the size of the room and overall quality of the house.

Self catered accommodation

This is typically in rented apartments or student accommodation and will have an individual bedroom with a shared kitchen. This gives students a greater measure of independence but does tend to be a little greater in terms of costs.
